Terms of Use
Effective April 2026
These terms govern your use of the Polance website. Engagement-specific terms are set out separately in a Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work. We have kept this short and plain on purpose.
1. Scope of these terms
These Terms govern your use of the Polance website at polance.com and any sub-domains we operate. They are intentionally short. The terms that govern an actual consulting engagement are set out separately in a Master Services Agreement (MSA) and individual Statement of Work (SOW) signed between Polance and the client. Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer of services.
2. About the content on this site
The articles, frameworks, case studies, and commentary on this site reflect Polance's professional opinion as of the date of publication. They are not legal, financial, tax, accounting, or regulatory advice and should not be relied on as such. Where you need formal advice, please engage us — or a suitably qualified advisor — under appropriate terms.
Case studies are illustrative. Some clients have asked that names, sectors, or specific figures be anonymised, and we honour those requests. References that are anonymised are described accordingly. Real client references are available under MNDA on request.
3. Intellectual property
Polance and the Polance logo are trademarks of Polance. The text, images, and visual design on this site are © Polance. You may quote short excerpts of our articles for non-commercial purposes with a clear attribution and a link to the original page; please do not republish full articles or use our content in commercial materials without written permission.
Third-party logos shown on this site (for example, technology platforms or media publications) belong to their respective owners and are used for descriptive and editorial purposes only.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site to:
- Submit false, misleading, or unlawful information
- Send unsolicited commercial messages, automated probes, or bulk submissions
- Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically harvest content beyond what a normal browser would request
- Infringe any intellectual property right or applicable law
5. Third-party links
This site may link to third-party websites. We provide those links because we believe they are useful or relevant. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Following a third-party link is at your own risk.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The website is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Polance disclaims all implied warranties — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement — in respect of the website itself.
Polance will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Liability arising under a paid engagement is governed exclusively by the relevant MSA and SOW — not by these website Terms.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any dispute arising from your use of this website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Warsaw, Poland — without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page. Material changes will be reflected in the “Effective” date at the top.
